Description:
Barbecue in July, 1926 at the Getz farm during the Governor of Michigan campaign; Green’s first campaign for governor of Michigan. Stamped on back “Photo by M.S. Morris, Herald Staff…” There is a brick-lined barbecue pit in the foreground with a large carcass on the spit. Two African American men in white coats and hats are watching; other men are putting up a tent in background.
