The Calvin Knights would defeat the Muskegon Junior College Jayhawks 57-53 in overtime in a game played at Burton Gym. The picture shows Calvin guard #14 Wilbur "Slug" Slager reaching to recover the ball vying with Muskegon JC forward #27 John Erickson for possession. Other players in the picture include Jayhawks #26 Charles Meetsma and #23 Clayton Vriesman and Knight #25 Duane Rosendahl. All three MuskegonJC players also played at Muskegon High School.
