From left to right are Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills' Jim Eaddy, Grand Rapids South's Jack Nelson, Grand Rapids Union's Bill Reynders, an unidentified WMOA official, and Grand Rapids Catholic Central's Bob Tietema. Bill Reynders was one of a number of GR City League athletes who left school early and served during WWII and returned to finish high school. Jim Eaddy would go on to become a Grand Rapids teacher, coach and administrator as well as an area basketball official.
