Bob Schichtel, local sports researcher further describes: Godwin Heights #5 6'9" Art Spoelstra, class of 1950. He was an All American at Western Kentucky, drafted by Rochester Royals in NBA in 4th round and also played for Minneapolis Lakers and New York Knicks 1954-1958. Inducted into the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
