A black tea party / W. Summers, del. Hunt, sc.
Derogatory print depicting an African American tea party hosted by "Mr. Ludovico" and "Miss Rosabella." To the right of a table, Miss Rosabella pours steaming hot tea into a cup which tips over and spills onto a startled black cat on the floor. To her right, Mr. Ludovico attends to the needs of Miss Araminta who protests his taking the trouble. Next to them, a guest asks for "anoder cup" of tea. An African American servant and the other guests, a mother holding her baby and her small son, observe and comment about the spilled tea on the cat.
