According to Gazetteer articles published between March 26-29, 1943, the Kalamazoo Central High School presented a 300 cast variety show entitled "Yanks--Our Thanks" in order to honor those serving in the armed forces. The entertainment featured the evolution of America in dance, dramatic skits, and music.
