A crier extraordinary / W.S. C. Hunt, sc.
Derogatory caricature of an African American town crier performing his duties on a busy Philadelphia street. The raggedly dressed crier holds up his bell in one hand and the news in the other. Several spectators listen, including a well-dressed African American woman, an African American boy in rags, a peddler who walks a dog that has torn the crier's copy of the news, and a white shopkeeper in his store's doorway. Contains five lines of dialogue below the image which reflect the crier's news.; Clements Library holds two copies with variation in coloring.
