Depicts the gaff cutter yacht Galatea at sail. The Galatea lost the 1886 America's Cup race to the American yacht Mayflower.; "Length over all, 102 feet. On water line, 87 feet. Beam, 15 feet. Draught, 13 feet 5 inches. Length mast from deck to hounds, 53 feet. Topmast from fid to sheave, 47 ft. Bowsprit, outboard, 36 feet. Boom, 73 feet.
