Composite of 1932 photograph and circa 1970 photograph of the Ford Motor Company plant in Ypsilanti. Inset photo is of the original Ford Plant building opened in 1932 and consisting of 63,000 square feet. The first major addition was in 1948 and later ones in 1950, 1952, 1963 and 1965 expanded engineering, offices, warehouse and additional manufacturing space until there were approximately one million square feet.
