A posed photograph of Frank Dumond, curator of the Grand Rapids Public Museum, and group of children with a few women interspersed. It is set on the steps of the museum annex. Most are dressed in coats and hats; Dumond is bareheaded and wearing a three-piece suit. Some look at the camera; others not. The 1929 City Directory lists the Kent Scientific Museum (former name of the Grand Rapids Public Museum) annex at 41 Jefferson SE, the southwest corner of Jefferson and Weston. The main building is listed at at 54 Jefferson SE.
