In the background are graduates. An article in the Kalamazoo Gazette, June 11, 1941, reports that twenty cadets were presented with their diplomas at the graduation exercises held in the Nazareth auditorium. Reverend Joseph A. Albers, bishop of Lansing (pictured left most official, looking at photographer), presented diplomas and honorary medals, and Reverend Marshall Lochdihler gave the commencement address. The photograph was taken for Sister Mary Owen and Barbour Hall Junior Military Academy.
