Black-and-white photograph of thirty men in the a room in Kalamazoo, Michigan. View shows four rows of men: seven seated in front, seven standing behind them, and the back two rows on risers. Some of the men pictured wear military style coats with chevron insignias. According to a Kalamazoo Gazette article dated May 2, 1943, the Kalamazoo Council of the Knights of Columbus conferred degrees on 75 candidates at a meeting at the Parish House on West Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Councils and delegations came from the surrounding South-west Michigan area. After the initiation gathered in the Knights of Columbus club rooms for lunch and social events. The location room shown in this photograph is presumed to be a club room or the Parish House.
