Loraine Immen
Description:
Loraine Immen, president of the Ladies Literary Club from 1889-1890. Mrs. Immen was prominent supporter of art and literature. Tiffany stained glass windows in First (Park) Congregational Church, the Shakespeare "Rose" window in the LLC building, the Longfellow statue in Veterans Memorial Park, and the Lincoln bust at Washington and State streets were a few of her gifts to the city. She also founded the Shakespearian Club. The club erected a building at 61 Sheldon SE in 1887.
