Lieutenant Hubert L. Hayes working on the left side of a ship's frame in woodworking shop of Culver Military Academy. According to the 1941 Culver Military Academy yearbook, Roll Call, Lietenant Hubert L. Hayes was reported to have built an eighteen foot mahogany cruiser in the school shop over the course of the 1941 school year. The photograph was taken for Curtis and the Culver Military Acadmy between December 10 and 13, 1940. Note: There is a texture on parts of the negative that were not part of the original photograph. This does not minimize the value of the imagery.
