Caption: "Saline's Chicago Road (Michigan Avenue). This is the view of Saline's main business district that met the eye of the Detroit or Chicago-bound traveler in the gay 1890s. The building on the right, with awning, is new occupied by the Fred Nissley store; that on the left, also with awning (closest to camera) is now the Fred Henne hardware store."
