Monroe Center view, 1870
Description:
This view shows several businesses that lined Monroe. Among them are H. Leonard crockery, O. A. Ball the Clothier, a tobacco store, and Lyon & Cody grocers. Several horse-drawn wagons are farther down the street. Leonard crockery was located at 17 Monroe (pre-1912 address), which was between Market and Pearl Street.
