Mrs. William Davenport
In 1907 Zilpha Davenport knew of a little building behind the bank she could lease to the library. Somehow that "lease" turned into a deed on closer look, and the library had a home of its own. In 1918 Mrs. Davenport built a new library on N. Ann Arbor St.
