Peirce's Bookstore
Description:
This view shows Peirce's Bookstore under construction. Lumber is exposed under the building and the porch. Workers are gathered on either side of the building. At the time of this construction (1835), the building was located on the corner of Kent and Crescent (originally Bronson), approximately the current location of the Grand Rapids City Hall.
