Digitization note: Due to its large size, this item was scanned in sections, stitched together, and edited.; Not listed in Brun Add.; Title taken from verso.; Finished, pen and ink and watercolor map showing the Mohawk River from above Schenectady to the Oneida Carry and then the rest of the route to Oswego via Wood Creek, Oneida Lake, and the Oswego River.; Forts, storehouses, and settled areas are identified.; From information on the verso, the map appears to have been drawn for or was the property of Sir Francis Dashwood.; This map is drawn by the same hand as and is a companion of [Hudson's River from New York to Albany] and [Map from Albany to Crown Point].; Assigned date is based on details within all three maps.; First known canal in New York State is shown at a bend of the Mohawk below the Oneida Carry and labeled "this neck was cut through."
