Political Campaign Parade Float
Description:
Pictured is a float when Fred Green ran for governor the second time in 1939. The float is a platform truck, compliments of Grand Rapids Varnish Corp. The bed of the truck has been made to look like a garden, with white picket fence and greenery. Several young women in white are riding on the float. The banner below says “Keep Michigan Green."
