Mounted photograph of Constance Plumer McCalmont. View shows head and shoulders' shot of a young woman wearing a off-shoulders dress and a crown. Her hair is parted in middle and curled to frame her face. The photograph was taken by Ford and Paltridge, a photography partnership which existed from October 1895 to January 1896. Handwriten text on the back of the photograph identifies the young woman and includes a brief description: "When she was about twenty years old not so beautiful as she was because her exquisite cooring is not shown. Golden hair, sing tinged faintly like a sea-shell and lips a soft rose. Truth perfect. [Cheeks?] a greenish-blue [rose?] and very lovely." Constance married Herbert S. Humphry, the vice-president of Water Heater Factory.
