The event took place at the Surgical Dressings Station headquarters, 175 East South Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan. View shows nurses seated at a row of tables and looking down at sections of gauze laid out on a mat. The nurses are in various stages of completion. Some nurses in uniform stand and appear to be guiding those who are sitting. The training took place in a high ceiling room with drop-ceiling lighting. In the background is a dividing wall with a door. View also shows a chalk board and a poster with diagrams and instructions on two tables and leaning up against the wall. The building and names of the nurses are unidentified. The photograph was taken for the Kalamazoo Gazette and printed in the March 29, 1943 edition, page 8.
