Description:
Two members of the Polar Bears. Landing of the Polar Bears (World War, 1917-18) at Grand Rapids Airport, located south of 32nd Street SE and west of Eastern Ave SE, January or February, 1927. Two young men in snow-suits, with leather helmets and goggles standing in front of single propeller bi-plane. Plane has two open cockpits, one behind the other. The ground is covered with snow.
