View of destroyed buildings in Québec City, Canada damaged during the British siege of Québec in 1759 during the Seven Years' War. The bishop's house appears right of center in comparatively decent condition, while on the left there are the ruins of other buildings that have been completely destroyed. Several people are depicted on the street below, including men on horseback, English and Scottish soldiers, a man driving an oxcart and a group of children playing amongst the ruins.; "Septr. 1st. Publish'd according to Act of Parliament by R. Short and Sold by T. Jefferys the Corner of St. Martins Lane Charing Cross."
